PHOENIX BALL 2017

The Mississauga Board of Chinese Professionals & Businesses (CPB), with special support from the Hong Kong
Economic and Trade Office (HKETO), will host the popular Phoenix Ball at the Mississauga Convention Center on
Sunday, October 29, 2017.

The theme for this year’s gala is “Celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary and the 20th Anniversary of the
Establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region”. HKETO is a long-time supporter of CPB and we
are proud to announce that Miss Kathy Chan, Director of the HKETO, is the Honourary Chair of this year’s Phoenix
Ball.

The Phoenix Ball is one of the largest and most prestigious Chinese-sponsored gala in Mississauga. This popular
flagship event draws about 400 distinguished guests, politicians, business, professionals and community leaders in
the Greater Toronto Area and is a highlight of the social calendar in Mississauga.

One of the most popular features of our gala is our silent auction where our guests browse and bid on various high
value items. Year after year, our guests tell us of their satisfaction with the range of products that we display for the
silent auction. Proceeds from this auction go towards our fundraising goals.

Since 1999, CPB and CPB Foundation have raised and donated over $1 million to many charities and
organizations to help with various worthwhile causes. It is our commitment at CPB, CPB Foundation and the
Phoenix Ball to continue to fundraise for charitable organizations and to make a difference for our community. This
year, we will be fundraising for the Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care in Mississauga.
